Students of the Faculty of Law and Administration of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, supported by the law firm Sobczyńscy i Partnerzy, took part in the 15th edition of Warsaw Pre-Moot, a prestigious event preparing for the international arbitration competition Willem C. Vis Moot Court.

On 13-14 February 2024, a simulated arbitration hearing was held in Warsaw for law students from Poland and abroad. A team from the Adam Mickiewicz University, operating as part of the Student Mentoring Laboratory, competed against teams from other renowned universities, such as Jagiellonian University, SWPS University, Charles University in Prague or Leibniz University of Hannover.

During the Warsaw Pre-Moot, students from the UAM team: Julia Frankiewicz, Gabriela Krawczyk, Dorota Piechowiak, Natalia Przewoźniak, Zuzanna Rubaszewska, under the supervision of their mentor, Dr Filip Balcerzak, had the opportunity to test their legal and rhetorical skills in simulated arbitration hearings and thus develop an argumentation strategy for the competition in Vienna.

The main objective of the event was to prepare the students to participate in the 31st edition of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court, which will be held in Vienna in March 2024.

Sobczynscy i Partnerzy Law Firm is proud to support the UAM WPiA team in their preparations for the competition in Vienna. We are convinced that they will present the Polish University with dignity on the international arena.

We sincerely congratulate the students on their achievements to date and keep our fingers crossed for further success in Vienna!
