The Speedway Grand Prix is an annual series of tournaments, organised by the International Motorcycle Federation (FIM) since 1995, to determine the individual world champion. Any speedway rider in the world can enter the Speedway Grand Prix series. This is because, in the year preceding a given Speedway Grand Prix, there are two stages of qualifying with the final – a tournament called the Grand Prix Challenge – at the top. From the GP Challenge, the best three riders qualify for the Speedway Grand Prix series.
